Nail Knot

To tie a Nail Knot follow these steps:

1. Hold a small tube parallel to the end of the fly line and extend the butt of the leader about a foot beyond this area.

2. Wrap the butt section 6 or more times around the tube and fly line tightly, moving back toward the end of the fly line. Hold the coils firmly in line.

3. Via the tube, pass the end of the leader back through the coils.

4. Carefully hold everything in place as you pull on both ends of the leader not the fly line and withdraw the tube. Make sure the coils do not jump out of the line.

5. The knot should cinch down neatly. Pull everything tight and trim the tag ends.
