Man! I was just looking through the photo gallery and I saw some huge fish! I was just wondering what was the biggest fish you all have ever caught? I'm the loser with a whopper! He was a Catfish weighing just a mere 9 pounds lol... I usually fish for crappie and walleye... what's yours? do you have a picture on here of it?

A nine pound catfish isn't all that small and very good eatting size not to mention fun to fight and land. I too fish for crappie, but the biggest fish that I ever landed was a 98 pound 11 oz catfish in the Tennessee River back in 1982. It took all the strenght that I had and some of my dad's strenght as well to land him.
I was using my uncle's Penn Reel (I'm not sure what model) and a fiberglass catfish rod and 80lb test line and a 10 odd hook size. I have a picture of the fish somewhere in on of my family's picture albums. I was told that it would have been a State record, if my uncle hadn't shot the fish with a 22 cal., to stop the fish from rolling at the boat.
My biggest crappie was 5 pounds even that I had caught in the Mud Hole located in Mississippi. My biggest bluegill weighed about 1 1/4 pound that I caught in a private cattle pond in Mississippi. The biggest largemouth bass weighed 7 lbs 2 ozs that I caught last year in a 5 arce pond in West Tennessee. I have caught other big crappie in the ColdWater River in Mississippi, but none as big as the 5 pound whooper.
