DON PEDRO: Rainbow trout and king salmon are becoming more active here. Trout are biting from Moccasin Point into the Woods Creek arm 20-40 feet below the surface. Troll a bit faster than 2 mph. Salmon are being caught from the Highway 120 bridge through the river canyon down to the power lines. Target depths 60-100 feet using rolled shad or anchovies, glow tubes or Uncle Larry's Spinners scented with shad gel. (209)

DELTA FRANK'S TRACT: The striper bite remains solid with more bass moving in. Most of the bass are schoolie-size: very few are keepers. Black bass fishing is tough. Jigs and drop-shotting worms are best. (925) 625-2441

PACIFICA: Both the pier and the beaches give up striped bass to those casting blood worms, pile worms, hairraisers and top-water plugs. Perch bite has been good. (650) 355-8303
PILLAR POINT: The weather is ideal and the ocean calm. Local trips on the weekdays bring back limits with some work. Weekend boats go to the islands for quality sacks.
