Have you ever caught a record breaker and had it stuffed? If so, how big was it and what did you catch it on?
My older brother has a 10 lb. bass (I think) that he has hanging on his wall. I'm sure it's not a real "record" breaker, but it was a best for him!

Nooooo... I've never caught anything good like that. I couldnt bear stuffing one and keeping it! And besides, at the pond that we fish at, we are not allowed to keep the fish, we have to throw them back. LOL

Not only have I ever caught a trophy-size fish, I don't think I would want it stuffed. Just have that thing staring at me would freak me out. I'd honestly rather eat it,lol!

I've only caught one trophy-sized fish, a 30-lb muskie. We had agreed in advance with our guide for the day, who was sharing his secret spots, that we would practice catch-and-release. So we took some pictures & measurements, & I planned on having a fiberglass mount made (until I found out what it would cost).

HAH! I was thinking that too! That thing would be sitting there staring at me, and I'd be staring back thinking "Good Lord, I'm so sorry!" LOL

I personally don't see the allure of keeping dead animals hanging on your walls, either. But I know people that do it. I would think that taking a picture with specifics recorded would be much more enjoyable, knowing that the fish is still in the water growing for the next time you go, so it'll be even bigger. ;) :D
