Spincast recommendations?

My son is finally old enough to start fishing. I want to start him out with a spincast reel, but I remember most of them as being junk when I was a kid. Any suggestions for an all-purpose, quality spincast reel?

I think that Zebco would be a good brand to look at when it comes to decent spinner reels.

Got the Zebco 22 gold for my son. He's been practicing with a casting plug & is starting to get the hang of it! I'm really impressed with the quality of the reel - it feels really solid & the retrieve is silky-smooth!

My first pole was a Zebco and my two oldest kids first poles were Zebcos.. I prefer the 22... Its a really simple rod perfect for a kid to start out with.
