Stripers – The Striper fishing is good most days. Tuesday we had 7 bites and landed 4 fish. The biggest one being just over 11 lbs. Fishing blue backs in the back of most creeks will get some action. Down lines and flat lines are working well. The flat line bite seems to go away after sunrise. I’ll switch one of my flat lines to a down line then and have three down and one flat. I am fishing the down lines 25-35ft deep over a 40-60ft bottom. There are good concentrations of fish in Bald Ridge, Shoal Creek and as always Flat Creek. Capt. Mack Farr's umbrella rig is also working on schooling fish up the lake.

Bass – The bass fishing has been really good. We have been catching most of our fish on tungsten spoons. The smaller size with the same weight seems to work better. We have been fishing the drop shot rig with good success. Both of these techniques are easy to use. What ever your bait of choice is, it is best to keep it around brush in 25-40 ft of water. If you are marking the fish and are having trouble getting them to bite, try a 4–6 inch blue back. It works every time!!

Crappie – The Crappie fishing is very strong right now. Our pattern has been shooting the docks with a 1/16oz jig head and a Bass Pro Shops Squirmin Squirt. The best producing color has been red with a chartreuse tail. Focus on docks that are in shallow coves, on the north end of the lake, with 15-20 feet of water out off of the end. One major key is the dock needs to have lots of structure.
