Beaver Lake: Crappie fishing is good on cloudy mornings, reports Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services.

Crappie are suspended just of the bottom 20 to 35 feet deep under docks, near pole timber and bluffs. Jigs and curly-tail grubs are working best.

Trolling jointed Rapala minnow crank baits between Hickory Creek park and Point 12 has produced some nice-sized white crappie.

White bass are biting at night under lights. Fish minnows 15 to 30 feet deep beneath the lights. Fish channel bends on the main lake.

Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said black bass fishing is getting summertime tough. Try buzz baits at sunrise. Later in the day, go with soft plastics fished deep. Brush is good if you can find it.

Catfish are biting sunfish and goldfish on limb lines.

Bill Pope at Hickory Creek Marina said black bass have been caught in the shoreline cover by flipping jigs and plastic worms close to the cover.

Fair numbers of crappie are being caught. Fish around structure during the day 15 feet deep with jigs or minnows. At night, fish under lights with minnows.

Walleye are being caught with worm harnesses bumped along the bottom 25 feet deep. Bluff ends are the best spots to fish.

White bass are schooling at random. They can come up any day, anywhere at any time.

White River below Beaver Dam: Jessi Eardley at the Beaver Dam Store said the top baits for trout are worms, nightcrawlers, minnows and Power Bait. Preferred Power Bait colors are green, orange or white.

Shad Raps or silver/blue Kastmaster spoons are the best lures for trout.

Recommended flies include black woolly buggers, banded leaches, Zonkers and San Juan worms.

A few stripers are being caught on the lake side of Beaver Dam at sunrise in White Bass Cove north of the dam day-use area. Cast top-water lures are surfacing stripers.

Lake Sequoyah: Albert Lehman at Lake Sequoyah boat dock said the lake is muddy but should be fishable this weekend.

Black bass are hitting spinner baits and buzz baits. Catfish are biting liver.

Lake Fayetteville: Dollie Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said bluegill are biting crickets 4 to 5 feet deep.

Largemouth bass fishing is good with buzz baits early. Crappie fishing is slow.

Bella Vista: Nick Gann at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass fishing is best at night, but "decent" during the day.

Jigs and crank baits are working day or night around brush piles and along points.

Bluegill fishing is good at lakes Windsor and Loch Lomond with crickets or worms on the bottom.

Crystal Lake: Kenny Stroud at the Siloam Springs Wal-Mart said black bass are hitting top-water lures early. Go with soft plastics later in the day.

Siloam Springs City Lake: Stroud said black bass are biting seven-inch black/blue Berkley Power Worms.

Illinois River, Flint Creek: Stroud said both streams were high at midweek but should be floatable this weekend. Try tube baits and plastic worms for smallmouth bass.

Upper Table Rock Lake: J.D. Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said black bass fishing is tough. Try buzz baits at sunrise. Go with soft plastics along points and steep rocky banks later in the day. Crawdad-colored Model A Bomber crank baits have accounted for a few bass.

Try jigs for crappie.

Kings River: Fletcher said the river came up several feet on Saturday, but should be floatable this weekend. Try tube baits or small plastic worms for smallmouth bass.

Eastern Oklahoma: Kenny Stroud at the Siloam Springs Wal-Mart store said black bass fishing is good at W.R. Holway Reservoir near Locust Grove.

Stroud and two friends caught 22 black bass on jigs and Zoom Baby Brush Hogs 15 to 20 feet deep along points.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation said largemouth bass fishing is fair at night on plastic worms. Crappie are biting 10 to 12 feet deep on minnows or jigs.

At Grand Lake, largemouth bass fishing is good 2 to 10 feet deep off points and in coves. Catfishing is good on shrimp, stink bait and cut bait in rocky areas.

Lake Tenkiller's black bass are fair in shallow brush on crank baits, spinner baits and jigs.
