Missouri

TRUMAN: 65 degrees, slightly murky, 8 feet high. Outlook: State Park Marina reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows in 10 to 20 feet of water along banks; bass fair on spinnerbaits in 8 to 15 feet of water; catfish good on jug lines, crankbaits in 8 to 15 feet of water. Below the dam, Rocky Top reports: white bass, hybrids good on Rooster Tails, topwater lures; crappies good on jigs, minnows; catfish good on shad.

JAMES A. REED: 67 degrees, clear, full pool. Outlook: Missouri Department of Conservation reports: crappies fair on jigs in the deeper brush (spawn has ended); black bass good on plastic frogs over weeds and plastic baits in the brush; bluegills, redear sunfish very good on redworms under bobbers; channel catfish fair on cut shad, chicken liver.

NORFORK: 67 degrees, off-color, 23.6 feet high. Outlook: Bink’s Guide Service reports: stripers good on Zara Spooks on the main lake; bass good on spinnerbaits, stickbaits, crankbaits on the main lake; catfish good on limb lines with live bait along the banks; walleyes fair on jigs, night crawlers in 40 feet of water on the main lake.

SMITHVILLE: 67 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Burton’s Bait and Tackle reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows (spawn is nearing an end); black bass good on jigs, square-billed crankbaits in the shallows in the coves; white bass good on pepper spoons, jigs over main-lake humps, points; walleyes fair on crankbaits in 10 feet of water off main-lake points.

STOCKTON: 65 degrees, clear, 6 feet high. Outlook: Stockton Lake Guide Service reports: walleyes good to very good on jigs with night crawlers in 10 to 20 feet of water off points; crappies fair to good on crankbaits trolled 15 feet down in 30 feet of water; bass good on jigs in back of creeks and along spawning banks; catfish excellent on night crawlers where the water is flowing in.

JACOMO: 65 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Forty Woods Bait and Tackle reports: bluegills good on crickets, wax worms in 5 feet of water; channel catfish fair on liver at night; crappies good on minnows in 10 feet of water.

LONGVIEW: 64 degrees, murky, 1 foot high. Outlook: Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows in the timber and off the marina docks; walleyes fair on minnows, crankbaits on the north end of the lake; channel catfish fair on prepared bait.

BULL SHOALS: 67 degrees, slightly murky, 37 feet high. Outlook: 125 Marina reports: white bass, largemouth bass, Kentucky bass and walleyes fair to good on tube baits, topwater lures, minnows along old banks; catfish good on limb lines at night.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS: 68 degrees, slightly stained, 1 foot low. Outlook: Gier’s Bass Pro reports: crappies fair to good on jigs, minnows in 8 to 15 feet of water in the brush; bass fair to good on Brush Hogs, plastic lizards, jigs in the shallows; catfish fair on jug lines, trotlines with cut shad.

BLUE SPRINGS: 66 degrees, murky, 1 foot high. Outlook: Forty Woods Bait and Tackle reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows in the timber and brush; catfish fair on liver at night.

TABLE ROCK: 65 degrees, 8-foot clarity, 15 feet high. Outlook: White River Lodge reports: smallmouth bass fair on tube baits in 25 to 35 feet of water off points; largemouth bass fair on football jigs in the river arms.

TANEYCOMO: 50 degrees, clear, major water releases, all 10 gates open. Outlook: Lilley’s Landing reports: trout fair on night crawlers, PowerBait below Fall Creek.

POMME DE TERRE: 67 degrees, stained, 9 feet high. Outlook: Nemo Landing reports: crappies fair on minnows in 17 feet of water in timber; black bass fair on spinnerbaits.

Kansas

GLEN ELDER: 60 degrees, clear, 1 foot low. Outlook: Little Bait Shop reports: walleyes very good on jigs with night crawlers on the mud flats; crappies very good to excellent on jigs, minnows near Campground 3 and in brush; catfish fair to good; white bass good on crankbaits, slab spoons, minnows along causeway bridge and shoreline in Granite Creek. Bow fishing for gar and carp also has been good.

MILFORD: 63 degrees, clear, 2 feet high. Outlook: Clem’s Corner reports: walleyes very good on night crawlers, leeches on the mud flats; wipers, white bass very good on minnows, crankbaits, soft-plastic baits in rocky areas; catfish good on cut shad, shrimp, chicken liver lakewide and in the river.

WILSON: 64 degrees, clear, near normal. Outlook: Knothead’s reports: smallmouth bass good on minnows in the shallows; largemouth bass good on a variety of baits in the shallows; walleyes good on jigs with leeches or night crawlers on the flats; stripers fair to good on topwater lures; catfish good in Hell Creek.

COFFEY COUNTY: 62 to 65 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Coffey County reports: white bass good on jigging spoons in rocky areas; crappies good to very good on minnows, jigs along rocky banks; smallmouth bass good on plastic baits along the riprap.

PERRY: 68 degrees, slightly murky, 1 foot high. Outlook: Rock Creek Marina reports: crappies very good on minnows in the shallows; catfish very good on worms; white bass very good on minnows in rocky areas.

HILLSDALE: 68 degrees, murky, 1 1/2 feet high. Outlook: Jayhawk Marina reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows out from spawning banks; black bass fair to good on a variety of baits in the shallows.

LA CYGNE: 78 degrees at the dam, fairly clear, normal. Outlook: Linn County Parks reports: flathead catfish good on trotlines with panfish; channel catfish good on a variety of baits lakewide; white bass fair on jigs, spoons at the hot-water outlet; largemouth bass fair on plastic baits.

KILL CREEK: 67 degrees, 4-foot clarity, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: catfish fair on liver, worms in the headwaters; wipers fair on crankbaits, liver along the dam; bass good on crankbaits, plastic baits along the dam, on the south side and in the headwaters; panfish good on minnows, worms lakewide.

SHAWNEE MISSION: 66 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: catfish fair on liver, worms on the flats; wipers fair on liver, green sunfish, Rat-L-Traps along the dam; bass good on plastic baits in the coves; panfish fair on minnows, worms along the dam and on the flats.

TUTTLE CREEK: 66 degrees, slightly murky, near normal. Outlook: Derrick’s Bait and Tackle reports: crappies good on minnows on the main lake; catfish good on large shiners along rocky banks and in the outlet; walleyes fair on leeches in Rocky Ford.

MELVERN: 64 degrees, clear, 1 foot high. Outlook: Melvern Lake Marina reports: crappies fair on minnows in 15 to 18 feet of water in the brush; walleyes fair to good on jigs with night crawlers on the flats.

POMONA: 68 degrees, slightly murky, 1 foot high. Outlook: Lighthouse Bay Marina reports: crappies fair on minnows, jigs in 4 to 8 feet of water (spawn has ended); bass fair to good on minnows; flathead catfish good on set lines with goldfish.

HERITAGE: 67 degrees, 1-foot clarity, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: catfish fair on liver, worms; bass fair on plastic baits, minnows, worms, jigs; panfish good on minnows, worms.

WYANDOTTE: 68 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Wyandotte Boat Rentals reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows in 6 feet of water and deeper; channel catfish fair to good at night on night crawlers, liver, shad; black bass good (but mostly small) on plastic baits in the shallows; wipers fair on crankbaits, large white jigs trolled on the main lake.

CLINTON: 69 degrees, fairly clear, near normal. Outlook: Clinton Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows (spawn has ended).
