Favorite Fish?

Does anyone have a favorite fresh water fish that they like to catch? Why do you like them?

My favorite is Catfish! They are just waaay too cute! And I love that bullfrog noise that they make once you pull them out of the water. And the whiskers are adorable. My boyfriend pulls them out after I catch one, and after he removes the hook I kiss them sometimes. I even want to get a small tattoo of a catfish on my ankle or something.

I also like to watch them swim by me when the sun is shining down on the pond. I can see the dark forms moving real slow and lethargic like. They really dont have a single care in the world!

I like sunfish, because I find them to be really pretty. Just have to watch their fins, is all! I also like bass, since it is almost too easy to get the hook out of their mouth.

Awwww I think sunnies are adorable! They make me smile because they remind me of that Dory character from Finding Nemo. They swim about all over the place like they are the happiest fish in the world.

I've only caught one or two of them, but I like to catch catfish. They're a challenge to catch, which means you get a workout! Some fish seem so easy to catch, it's almost not worth the effort.

I actually haven't successfully caught a catfish yet. Then again, I haven't been trying too hard. ;)

Well, you definitely have to set your line different to catch a catfish, so if you're not doing that, you're not going to have success. ;)

My husband usually has at least two poles going at a time. One he sets deep for catfish, one he use for fishing closer to the surface. Since it takes catfish a lot longer to take the bait, he can usually catch several bream or bass in the time it takes to catch one catfish.

Haha, I don't think I could coordinate watching two poles at once! My attention span isn't *that* good.

LOL. Catfish do certainly give you a work out. Some of the really big ones I catch I will find myself sitting there and struggling with the darn thing for like 10 minutes! My boyfriend is always standing at my side going "You want help? You need help?" And I'm going, "NO!! IT'S MINE!!" LOL.

What is it about a man that makes him think women can't reel in a big fish? My husband does that, too. I think they want the fun of "bringing home" that fish so they can tell their friends that "THEY" caught a prize! LOL

Haha, I guess I'm lucky. My stepdad and boyfriend are usually the ones cheering me one when I'm trying to land a particularly feisty fish.

Yeah... I made the mistake of letting the boyfriend bring in a difficult fish once, and when I tried to say I caught it, he said that it was his catch since he brought it to the shore. Meh. I was like "Whatever". LOL.

Favorite fish? All of em! :) No for looks I like the Bass but for eating I like the Catfish. Sunperch are pretty too. Catfish is by far the best tasting though. I could eat Catfish several times a week if I had it!
