Bass Lake — The water level is full. There are more boats at the lake. Fishing is slow. The fish are found at the bottom of the lake because of the warmer water. It is best advised to go fishing in the morning or in the afternoon.

Hume Lake — The water level is holding steady. Trout is the only fish biting at the lake.

Lake Kaweah — The water level is full. Crappie are biting good in the back of Horse Creek Bridge. They are biting on minnows, jigs and wax worms. Trout are biting good in the area before the river opens into the lake. A limit can be caught in a couple of hours. They are biting on powerbait and crickets. Bass are biting good on senkos and lizards. An employee from Sierra Sporting caught an eight-and-a-half pound largemouth bass in the area across from the first boat ramp on Monday. The fish was caught using a senko. Blue gill are found around the marina, on the east side of Horse Creek Bridge and the river before the lake. They are biting on red worms. A few catfish can be found between the Horse Creek second parking lot and the second boat ramp. They can be caught using chicken liver.

Lake Success — The water level is holding steady. Fishing is good. Bass are biting on nightcrawlers and plastic worms. Trout are biting on red worms and powerbait.

Millerton Lake — The water level is dropping a little. Stripers can be found around Fine Gold to Temperance Flat. Trollers are using big rebels. Top water are being used for them in the morning. Bass are found at 15-to-30-foot depths and biting on plastic worms and jigs. Only small bass are being caught. There is top water bite early and late in the day.

Pine Flat Reservoir — The water level is dropping a little. Trout bite is good. They are found at 15-to-25-foot depths. Most are found around Windy Gap to Rattlesnake Creek. They can be caught using needlefish, wedding rings and flashers with a nightcrawler. Salmon can be found at 50-to-80-foot depths up the river and at 100-foot depths in the main lake. Rolling shad is mostly used for them. Bass are found no deeper than 20 feet. Catfish can be found around Deer Creek and Sycamore Creek.

Shaver Lake — The water level is coming up a little bit. Trollers are using flashers with a nightcrawler or power bait for trout. Kokanee can be caught in front of the dam, at 40-to-50-foot depths, and towards Camp Edison. They can be caught using Rocky Mountain pink hootchies or Captain Jack’s pink hootchies. Smallmouth are biting on crickets.

Huntington Lake — The water level is full. Trout is biting good. Trollers are doing well with flashers, nightcrawlers and red or green wedding rings tipped with a nightcrawler. Bank fishermen are using powerbait around Rancheria Creek and where Tamarack Creek empties into the lake. Kokanee can be caught at 30-foot depths. Trollers are using hootchies or small chartreuse or orange bugs.

Wishon Lake — The water level is coming up a little bit. Bank fishermen are catching trout using nightcrawlers, powerbait and salmon eggs around the dam and where Short Hair Creek empties in. Trollers are also catching trout using a Thomas Buoant behind a flasher.

Edison Lake — The water level is coming up a little bit. Fishing is good. Trollers are doing better than bank fishermen.

Patriot Sportfishing —Mike Cheek of Visalia aboard the Patriot caught a nine pound and six ounce lingcod at Point Sal.

Catchable-Trout Plants — For the week of June 22: If conditions permit, the following lakes, reservoirs, and ponds, listed by county, will be restocked with catchable-size fish from Department of Fish and Game hatcheries.

Tulare County — Balch Park-eastern and western lake, Big Meadows Creek, Dry Meadow Creek, Freeman Creek, Hedrick Pond campground pond, Kern River from Bush Creek to Fairview Dam, Kern River from Fairview Dam to Falling Waters Lodge, North Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Wishon Campground, Peppermint Creek (lower and upper), South Fork Kern River, South Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Camp Nelson, South Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Cedar Slopes, Stoney Creek.
