The Lake Erie walleye bite continues to only get better in the West Sister Island area, with some trophy fish being taken by Drift-n-cast fisherman, as well as trollers.
Fished the past three days with 48, 42, and 36 walleye caught. Including several walleye over 28 inches and one walleye 29" and weighing 9 pounds, caught by a 75 year old grandmother on a Zebco 33. Wow!
Today, I fished with a fine group of guys from southern Indiana and we had 42, plump Lake Erie walleye! We were fishing 10-12 miles offshore in the West Sister Island area, fishing gold bladed weapons, with 1/2 a worm. They were biting on a 8 to 10 count!
On Father's Day, I fished with 3 dads & 3 sons, catching 48 Lake Erie Walleye and having an absolute blast! Majority of the walleye came from the Class of 2003 hatch.
Father's Day trip with 3 dads & 3 sons - 48 Lake Erie walleye caught on gold bladed weapons, June 15, 2008.
