Lake Kaweah — Trout can be found in the small streams around the lake and up the river. Crickets are the best bait but trout can also be caught by using powerbait and nightcrawlers. Bass bite is very good on watermelon-colored plastic worms. Crappie can be found in the Horse Creek area. They are biting on small minnows. Catfish bite is best in the evenings. They are biting on anchovies and sardines.

Lake Success — Blue gill is the best bite of the lake. They are biting on wax worms, red worms and crickets. Catfish can be found in the area near they dam. They are biting on shad, chicken liver and anchovies. Bass bite is slow however some may be caught by using plastic worms, nightcrawlers and minnows.

Bass Lake — Fishing is best during the early morning and late afternoon. Trout can be found in the area by the falls and by the dam. They are biting on nightcrawlers and powerbait. Kokanee can be found by the Sherrif's Tower. Bass bite is best by the docks and in the lake's shady areas. They are biting on rubber worms.

Hume Lake — Fishing is good. The lake is full. Trout are biting on powerbait and worms. They can be found near the dam.

Millerton Lake — The lake is almost full and fishing is good for bass. They are biting on crank baits and worms. They can also be caught by using top water baits early in the morning. Blue gill bite is good in the area near the flooded willows. They are biting on red worms. Catfish are biting on anchovies and they can be found up the river.

Pine Flat Reservoir — The water level is dropping an average of 5 inches per day but fishing is still good. Trout are biting on needlefish and flashers with nightcrawlers. They can be found in the area around Windy gap, the dam and around the powerlines. Bass are biting on worms and jigs.

Shaver Lake — Fishing is inconsistent. Kokanee are hard to catch but some are biting on pink hoochies and bugs on a downrigger. Small-mouth bass bite is best in the rocky areas of the lake. They are biting on crickets and small plastic worms. Trout can be caught by trolling wedding rings behind a flasher and tipped with nightcrawlers.

Huntington Lake — Kokanee is the best bite of the lake. They are biting on pink or chartreuse-colored bugs and hoochies trolled behind a dodger.

Wishon Lake — Trolling for trout is best in front of dam No. 1, Short Hair Creek and the area where the river runs in. They are biting on speedy shiners and Thomas Buoyant baits in chrome, copper or gold colors.

Edison Lake — Trout bite is slow. Some may be caught by trolling frog-colored needlefish and flatfish. Bank fishermen are using powerbait and wedding rings tipped with nightcrawlers.

Courtright Lake — Bank fishing for trout is good. They are biting on powerbait. Trollers are using orange needlefish.

Catchable-Trout Plants — The following lakes, reservoirs and ponds will be restocked if road and weather conditions permit.

Tulare County — Kern River from Brush Creek to Fairview Dam, Kern River from Fairview Dam to Falling Waters Lodge, North Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Wishon Campground, South Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Camp Nelson and South Fork of Middle Fork Tule River at Ceder Slopes.

Fresno County — Big Creek near Huntington, Dinkey Creek, Kings River below the Pine Flat Reservoir, Rancheria Creek, San Joaquin River below the Friant Dam, Shaver Lake, Tamarack Creek and Wishon Reservoir.

Kern County — Kern River from Powerhouse #3 to Riverside Park, Kernville.

Madera County — Fish Creek, Lewis Creek, lower Chiquito Creek, Nelder Creek, North Fork of Willow Creek, Upper Big Creek and West Fork Chiquito Creek.

Merced County — Yosemite Lake.

Tuolumne County — Lyons Canal, Middle Fork Stanislaus River, Moccasin Creek, Pinecrest Lake, Powerhouse Stream, South Fork Stanislaus River and Stanislaus River Clark Fork.
