Beaver Lake: Black bass fishing is good with lots of keeper-sized fish being caught, reports Chris Johnson at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers.
Lunker-sized bass are elusive, but good numbers of smaller fish are biting. A variety of lures are working, including spinner baits, crank baits, tubes, and small-sized plastic worms.
Work any lure around cover in shallow water. Johnson said the bass should remain shallow as long as the water is muddy.
Several walleye have been caught by bass fishermen.
Crappie fishing is slow and has been all spring because the fish spawned too far back in the cover for anglers to reach them. The spawn is over now. Crappie may begin to move out of the shallows and start hitting crank baits trolled in deep water.
Lee Winkler at Hickory Creek Marina said catfishing is good on jug lines. Plenty of flathead catfish are being caught by baiting jugs with small sunfish.

Fishing is good for schooling white bass at Point 12 and up into the White and War Eagle river arms. Cast a small top-water lure or grub to these surfacing fish.
Crappie fishing is slow. The fish are scattered. The best way to catch them is by trolling a medium-running crank bait over deep water. Black and fire tiger are the bet colors.
Bluegill fishing is good for spawning fish in the shallows. Use crickets or worms.
Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said crappie fishing has improved but the fish are deep. Fish for them 20 to 35 feet deep along drop-offs with black/chartreuse curly-tailed grubs.
White bass can be caught at sunrise and sunset where lawns and water meet. Try small swim baits.
Night fishing under lights is beginning to come into play. Crappie, white bass and walleye are being caught with minnows or shad.
Good places to fish under lights are main-channel bends near shore. Peak hours are 10 p.m. to midnight and 4 a.m. to sunrise.
Bob Bauer at Lost Bridge Marina said stripers are being caught near shore with artificial lures.
White River below Beaver Dam: Nancy Rose at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting nightcrawlers and Power Bait.
The best lures are Shad Raps and spoons. Trolling is a good way to catch trout.
Try white woolly buggers for trout and white bass.
The best fishing is from a boat. The only bank fishing opportunities are at the launch ramps and there is little room to fish.
Lake Fayetteville: Jim Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said fishing is good for all species.
