Beaver Lake: Black bass have moved shallow with a cool-down in water temperature.
Bill Pope at Hickory Creek Marina said the water temperature is in the high 60s. Black bass are hitting crank baits that have some red on them. Spinner baits are also working. Top-water lures and buzz baits are working early.
Crappie fishing has improved. Work tube jigs or minnows 12 to 15 feet deep around brush.
Striped bass are migrating to the upstream portion of the lake. Shad or brood minnows are the preferred baits. Good places to fish are Point 12 or wherever there is a turn in the lake channel.
Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said black bass fishing is good with spinner baits or top-water lures fished 1 to 6 feet deep. Banks with bushes are good spots to fish.
Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said crappie fishing is excellent. Fish minnows or a jig-minnow combo along standing timber close to creek channels 10 to 20 feet deep.
Good areas to fish include Prairie Creek, Monte Ne, Hickory Creek and the Sidewalk Hole in the War Eagle arm.
White River below Beaver Dam: Angie Garich at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting nightcrawlers, worms, waxworms and pink or red Power Bait.
Top lures include brown or olive microjigs and Buoyant Spoons in gold/red or silver/blue.
The best flies are a green Psycho Prince, WD-40, chartreuse Copper John, Y2K bugs, zebra midges and rainbow warriors.

Illinois River, Flint Creek: Stroud recommends tube baits, small jigs or soft plastics for smallmouth bass.
