Salt Water
NORTH SABINE Trout are good while working slicks and shad. Redfish are good under rafts of shad on topwaters. Redfish are fair to good at the mouths of bayous draining from the marsh.
SOUTH SABINE Trout are fair to good at the jetty on live bait and topwaters. Trout are good while drifting scattered shell on plastics. Some trout have been caught under birds.
BOLIVAR Trout are good on the south shoreline on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Trout, sand trout, whiting and croakers are fair to good at Rollover Pass on live bait.
TRINITY BAY Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Trout, redfish and croaker are good at the spillway on live bait. Trout are fair to good at the wells on plastics and live bait.
EAST GALVESTON BAY Trout are good for drifters working deep shell on limetreuse and plum plastics. Trout are good on live bait around the Ship Channel and on shell in 6-12 feet of water.
WEST GALVESTON BAY Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Trout and redfish are fair to good at the mouth of bayous on the outgoing tide on live shrimp. Some trout have been taken at night by waders.
TEXAS CITY Trout are fair to good on the reefs and in the channel on live shrimp and croakers. Redfish and sand trout are fair to good in Moses Lake on shrimp.
FREEPORT Trout are good at San Luis Pass and the jetties on shrimp and soft plastics. Trout, redfish, sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay and Chocolate Bay.
EAST MATAGORDA BAY Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp over mid-bay reefs, when the wind allows. Redfish are good while wading the shorelines with small topwaters.
WEST MATAGORDA BAY Trout are fair on sand and grass on soft plastics and topwaters. Live-baiters have taken better catches. Redfish are good in the back reaches of the bay on mud and shell on live shrimp.
PORT O'CONNOR Trout and redfish are fair on topwaters and live bait over sand, grass and shell near Pass Cavallo. Trout and redfish are fair at the mouths of the back lakes on the outgoing tide. Offshore is good for red snapper, ling and kingfish.
ROCKPORT Trout are fair in the guts and channels on free-lined shrimp. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp. Redfish are good on mullet in skinny water.
PORT ARANSAS Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp and croakers. Offshore is good for red snapper, kingfish and ling. Tuna have been showing deeper.
CORPUS CHRISTI Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on small Super Spooks and live shrimp. Trout are fair around Emmords Hole on piggy perch and croakers.
BAFFIN BAY Trout are fair to good on topwaters around rocks and grass. Trout are fair to good while drifting grass around spoil islands on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Redfish are fair to good at Yarborough on SkitterWalks.
PORT MANSFIELD Trout are fair to good on topwaters on the edge of the channel and around sand and grass. Trout and redfish are fair while wading spoil islands on topwaters. Redfish are fair to good while wading over sand on small topwaters. Offshore is good for red snapper, kingfish and ling.
SOUTH PADRE Trout are good on shrimp and DOA Shrimp while drifting the grass beds. Snook are good in South Bay and found deeper in the Brownsville Ship Channel. Tarpon are good around the pass and at the jetty early in the morning and late in the evening.
PORT ISABEL Trout are good on the deeper edges and flats on topwaters and live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on small topwaters and live shrimp in Airport Cove and while making long drifts.

Fresh Water
BRAUNIG Water stained; 88 degrees. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and dark soft plastic worms in reeds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on liver and perch off points near the pier. Redfish are excellent on perch, shad, and silver spoons. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cut bait, and cheesebait near the dam.
CALAVERAS Water stained; 88 degrees. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on spoons and striper jigs between the dam and the crappie wall, and on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are excellent down rigging silver and gold spoons in 10 - 20 feet, on live perch and tilapia along the shoreline, and on live bait along the crappie wall. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, cheesebait, and shad. Blue catfish are excellent on liver and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 88 degrees; 8.87' low. Black bass are very good on crankbaits and large soft plastic lizards and worms. Crappie are slow. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on stinkbait in 5 - 10 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.
FALCON Water stained; 90 degrees. Black bass are good on Carolina rigged large soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cut bait and stinkbait. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
