Acton Lake: Crappies have moved in to the banks, biting on minnows around brush in 2-4 feet of water. Bass have been taking nightcrawlers and hitting spinners close to the banks. For saugeyes, fish around rocky points with nightcrawlers or bass minnows.

Caesar Creek Lake: Fish the flats for saugeyes. Anglers have been drifting and tight-lining with large minnows or trolling crankbaits. Crappies have been hitting minnows in brush near the banks and around the stick-ups in the coves. For bass, work the banks with plastics and spinners. Bluegills are in the brush, hitting waxworms. Two muskies over 40 inches were caught by one angler. Try working the coves near the bridge.

Grand Lake St. Marys: Black crappies are being caught off of the rocks on minnows and jigs. Anglers have been picking up some walleyes by trolling the west side of the lake near the spillway. Erie-Dearies tipped with nightcrawlers have been working. Plenty of catfish have been caught in the channels with cut shad or herring.

C.J. Brown Reservoir: White bass are running. They have been caught in the marina, off of the rocks and all over the north end of the lake. Use minnows or shiny spinners. Plenty of crappies have been caught on minnows or waxworms, but most have been small. Walleyes have been caught by anglers jigging with nightcrawlers, Vib-E’s or trolling crawler harnesses over the humps and old road bed.

Indian Lake: Saugeye fishing has been very good off of the south bank, around Moundwood and Dream Bridge. Try drifting and jigging with large minnows, casting a Vib-E or trolling a spoon. Crappies have been hitting minnows around docks and brush, while bluegills are hitting waxworms or redworms in the same places.

Cowan Lake: Crappies have been biting all over the lake, mostly on minnows. Anglers have been sitting over the drop-off in front of the marina. Work the banks for largemouth bass, using small crankbaits and plastics. A few saugeyes have been caught by anglers using minnows for crappies.

Lake Loramie: Crappies are close to the bank, often in less than a foot of water. Fish around brush and fallen limbs with minnows or small tubes. Saugeyes are still being caught in the creek, mostly on chartreuse or white twisters. Bluegills are hitting waxworms or redworms around brush. Catfish have been biting on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

Paint Creek Lake: Outstanding crappie fishing has been reported all over the lake. Fish 2-4 feet deep around wood and brush. Minnows and chartreuse or smoke tubes have been working well. Bass have been caught off of the rocks with crankbaits and plastics. The Baby Brush Hog has been popular. Fish the spillway for saugeyes, crappies and catfish. Saugeyes have been hitting chartreuse/red fleck twisters.

Rocky Fork Lake: Good crappie fishing has been reported with minnows and jigs (chartreuse, blue or yellow). Fish at varying depths. Bass are being caught around wood, 3-6 feet deep with pumpkinseed plastics. Anglers have been trolling and casting the south beach area for saugeyes. Troll with a Shad-Rap or Hot-N-Tot or cast with a 3-inch twister. Catfish have been hitting cut bait around the west end.

Lake Erie: Anglers jigging in Maumee Bay and on the Camp Perry reef complex are still catching spawning male walleyes, but the spawning season will soon be over. Trollers caught fish around the Bass Islands and Kelleys Island. Perch fishing has been best around Kelleys Island and Marblehead.

The water temperature is 55 off of Toledo and 50 off of Cleveland. For Lake Erie information, call (888) HOOK-FISH or visit wildohio.com.
