Jamie Smith: Lots of bream on crickets and red worms. Great catfish catches. David Calhoun landed a 63-pound flathead on cut up eels; Wayne Batson landed a 53-pound flathead on cut bait; and John Byrd landed a 48-pound flathead, also on cut bait. Source: County Line Bait and Tackle.

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH

LOWER BRUNSWICK COUNTY
Capt. Chris Burrows: Redfish still biting well from the Southport waterfront docks, in the creeks and canals and down the waterway well into South Carolina. Speckled trout are also making a greater appearance around the docks. Best bait has been the DOA shrimp under a popping cork.
