How many of you guys have your own boat (rowboat, motorboat, whatever) that you use for your fishing excursions? We don't have one, but we usually end up renting or borrowing someone else's if need be.

We don't own a boat of any kind. However, my father-in-law does. We've been out on it twice, and both times the silly thing broke down. We had to be towed one time, and finally got it started so we could get home the other. I think I'll not be going in his boat anymore. ;)

I guess I can say I'm lucky and have never been stranded in a boat!
I'm old fashioned though. I really prefer grabbing a rowboat, rowing out a bit, then sitting there and relaxing with a bobber. :)

We have on of those <soft> boats., a blowup one. It is huge though, and holds up to 8 people. We just love it. We spend many hours at the lake , by where we live, and the kids always take it out , when they swim in the lake.

We have a hard plastic peddle boat that holds 2 adults and can seat two very lightweight individuals in the back, too. It's slow - or fast - depending on how hard you peddle!

We have a 16' john boat with a 25 horse Mecury and a trolling motor. Its nothing special but she gets the job done! My husband wants a new one but it will be a long time before we can get one so he's just going to have to hang tight!
