Double Surgeon Knot

To tie a Double Surgeon Knot follow these steps:

1. Fold the line against itself to form a double strand.

2. Pass the end of the double strand through the opening in the overhead knot again, then tighten firmly.

3. Loops are often tied at the end of the leader, so they can be attached quickly to a snap or to another loop.

4. Snug up with a firm steady pull on the line.

The Double Surgeon Knot has a strength of 70%.
